Irish victory in the FEI Jumping Ponies Trophy

Amazing jump-off delivered by the 15 years old Alex Finney from Ireland and she has just taken the victory in the first qualifier in the FEI Jumping Ponies Trophy

The first qualifier in the FEI Jumping Ponies Trophy is over, and it has been an amazing week at World Cup Herning. Herning kickstarted the season before the riders is heading out to Lyon (FRA) and Stuttgart (GER). The finale of FEI Jumping Ponies Trophy will take place in Mechelen (BEL) at their big Christmas Show. Here we will find the winner of this year’s pony World Cup-tour, FEI Jumping Ponies Trophy.

Great start in Herning
It has been amazing for the pony riders to ride in Herning. The facilities, the atmosphere and the quality of the horses and riders, is some of the stuff the pony riders point out, when we have asked them to describe the event.

In this afternoons Grand Prix, 28 riders were ready to do their best to shine and deliver a great performance. Best of them was the Irish super girl, Alex Finney with her amazing pony Still Got Me. They where the first rider in the jump-off, where 14 riders was competing against the clock.

– It has been amazing to ride at this show, it is a great opportunity for us, to get the possibilities to ride at this type of show. I am so happy with my pony, he was doing such a great job today, Alex Finney said after her victory.

In 2nd place came the Norwegian rider Victoria Celine Dalen with the great pony Kadans Van Orchid’s, she delivered an amazing jump-off, the pair were almost fast enough, but ended second best.

– It was so amazing to feel the atmosphere in the arena, the audience was very supportive, and I am so happy, Victoria said.

The 3rd place went to the Belgian rider Aline Sercu with the cute white pony, Opaline Optima.

– I am so happy, my pony was a bit fresh today, but she was doing such a great job and was amazing to ride, Aline told after her ride.

On the 4th place it was German Luzie Jüttner with Orchid’s Arissia, and the 5th place was taken by the Irish rider Rhys Williams with K-Little Hero d’18.

All riders did a great job and tried their best, the feeling about the tournament is great and all athletes is telling how happy they are to be a part of this pony tournament on the highest level.

Next up in the FEI Jumping Ponies Trophy tournament is the big show in Lyon, France, the show will take place from October 30 - 3rd November.
